Impromptu Sick Days

Normally when I deem my day off over at 9pm on Saturday, I found myself going to bed instead. Sure I had work plans. I even needed to write here (and, as you may have noticed, I didn’t).
I’d been suffering through this headache, or shall we call it a migraine, for 3 days at that point. I would go to sleep with it and wake up with it still there. It would only get worse as the day passed until I would finally go to bed. So when it came down to feeling like I was going to cry, I realized taking the day off wasn’t enough so I took the night off too. However, after all of that, I found yet another gem I could polish and post here.
When you’re self-employed it is much easier to take a day off than it would be from a traditional job. Your health is extremely important, and if you don’t take care of yourself then there will be no job or no business.
Just like the working world, the business world can be extremely hard on you and your health. Many entrepreneurs and us mompreneurs that try to “wear too many hats”, as they say, are known for overworking ourselves to the point of exhaustion. That is not good for you.
When I started working from home, I learned how important it was to listen to your body. If you don’t listen when it tries to tell you that you’re not feeling good, you need to slow down and relax. If you don’t, then you might find yourself getting worse rather than better. If you take one thing from this post today, I hope it is this: The next time you don’t feel good, stop and walk away. Take some time to relax and make sure you get plenty of rest.

I just came to the U.S with jet lag then went into migraine with vomit sessions, not very nice so I can understand you totally. Keep well and keep off dairy during migraines. Huggles.
