Get Out Of That Chair And Go Play A Game!

I am always saying you need to set up a work schedule as well as a break schedule so you can walk away and do something with your kids.

Well, many mompreneurs don’t have young kids. For many women, their children might be tweens or teens. They don’t depend on you nearly as much as a toddler does, but it is not good to work all day without spending a little time with your family.

The best way to make it work? Pull out a fun game that the whole family can enjoy! From charades to monopoly, there is a game for everyone. For those families that are too large (or too small) for the traditional board game, check out your alternatives. Uno is a great game that can be played by a family of any size. Where 2 people would only need one deck, larger families can buy 2 or more decks as needed.

If your family has never been into playing games, it’s never too late to start. Gather together the family for a trip to your local toy store. Browse the games isle and see what options are available to you. Ask your kids what they would like to play the most, take a vote if needed, and come home with a new game or two.

It can be hard to make everyone happy. Where most of the kids might prefer one game over another, there is still that one who doesn’t want to join in on what you’ve chosen. Rotate between games. So you play this game today, tomorrow play the other game instead. Be fair, and everyone will have fun.

Hopefully, at some point during the excitement, you’ll find your mind wandering away from all the work you have left to do for the day and onto how much fun you are having with your family.
