Linky Love Which Should Have Been Shared LAST Week

Published by Angel under Blog Updates Edit This

I was linked to by FarandSavage through his Link Love and Lemonade post on Wednesday. I wanted to post my own little link love return and pass on the torch to 10 new people when I realized I don’t even read 10 different people in the today.com network (yet!). Then my friends who do leave the network aren’t really into these things and I wouldn’t want to put the pressure on them to pass this on… so I am going to unofficially share some lemonade with all of you. It won’t be 10 and it’s not actually the lemonade award but it means I am thinking of you. :)

So, here are 5 blogs you should consider visiting on the today.com network!

1. http://untilgradschool.today.com/ - FarandSavage may have sent the love first but, in my defense, I do read the blog and find it worth mentioning again.

2. http://barelymyself.today.com/ - I follow her on Twitter and I love the fact that she likes to write. Actually, from what I have seen, she is the first person I’ve met that keeps more regular blogs than me. That takes dedication and passion, something I can honestly appreciate.

3 & 4 go to http://rememberwhen.today.com/ and http://mosaicmoments.today.com/ - I put them both together like this because they are both written by the same woman, Kristy. Two weeks ago I also posted an interview with her talking about her roll as mom and President of IMDSA. If you don’t remember it, click here. Anyway, I regularly follow Remember When… and I do stop in to read Mosaic Moments when I have a chance. She’s a very inspiring woman and nothing is more fun than remembering those things from back in the day!

5. http://travelover30s.today.com/ - This is the last link mention I have for today but that doesn’t mean it is in last place. I’m not over 30 and I don’t travel, however… I still stop in when I have a chance to read the latest posts. Lis knows what he is talking about and he shares useful information for those that enjoy traveling, whether or not you’re over 30. ;)

I really hope you’ll take a moment to peek into their blogs, they’re worth the look!

Sickation

Published by Angel under Blog Updates Edit This

I just wanted to leave a note to let my readers know that because I have somehow managed to get a cold on my week off, and my need for rest, I will be taking the rest of this week off from blogging. I originally had no intention of taking the week off from Today’s Mompreneur, but getting sick was pretty unexpected. Hopefully I’ll be back to my old self by Monday.

I hope all of you that are here in the USA will enjoy the holiday. For those of you elsewhere, enjoy the rest of your week and I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

p.s. Sickation is a mix of Sick and Vacation. I suppose this is the vacation you’d never want to take. ;)

We Want To Hear YOUR Stories!

Published by Angel under Blog Updates, Interviews Edit This

Normally I would use this post to share the story of a mompreneur, unfortunately I don’t have a story to share for today. However, that gives me an excuse to take a moment and let all of you know that I am open to hearing what you have to say!

If you’re trying to start a business, but you are feeling a bit disheartened over it, what do you want to hear? What would you want to read? I’d bet a variety of success stories that share with you how other women have made it to various stages in business would help motivate you further.

That is why it’s so important to me that I am able to bring the stories of these everyday women into the spotlight and show others that it can be done.

Whether you’re just starting out, or your business has been up and running for years, I want to hear from all of you! Share your struggles, share your success, share your favorite moments in business, and just simply tell your personal story.

If you are a mompreneur, or you know of one, please send this along to them. If you are interested in sharing your story, I can be reached by email at: angel(at)angelashupe(dot)com. Please make sure to put “Today’s Mompreneur” in the subject so I know this is an interview request.

Every New Blog Deserves An Introduction

Published by Angel under Blog Updates Edit This

Every time I meet someone new, I always introduce myself and play a little game called “ask and share”. They generally ask me a question, and I return the favor. With any new blog, I always use the first post as a way to introduce myself.

I want to kick off this blog with my intentions. After all, this is my first post and there is no previous content to lure you back here in the future. I refuse to lose a potential reader! :)

I have been working from home as a freelance writer (and, yes, I do some virtual assistant work as well) since October of 2006. I have done all of this with a toddler in the home. There have been good moments, then there have been some not so good ones which creep up and make me wonder, “Why do I do this to myself?”

Over the last 2 years I have learned quite a bit about handling my workload while handling a 3 year old. It is never without a challenge or two, but I have loved every minute of it.

Now I want to share those experiences with YOU.

Today’s Mompreneur wants to inspire you to follow your dreams. We want to show you that it can be done. We want you to stand up at the end of the day and say, “I am a mom, and I am an entrepreneur. I’m darn proud to be a mompreneur!” There is no better way to do that than to show you that I have been there, currently am there and will continue to be there. While I walk through this wonderful experience, I want you to walk along with me.

I am filled with stories, advice, and fun mompreneur related chatter. If that doesn’t motivate you to come back, then I do not know what will!
